Understanding inbound inquiries and missed-call leads

What an inbound phone inquiry tells you, what a short call does not prove, and how to prepare for follow-up.

Where the inquiry starts

MedFE receives inquiries through its toll-free numbers. This inventory can include inbound callers whose call was missed or disconnected. The inquiry timestamp describes when the consumer reached out; your purchase timestamp describes when you received the record. Compare those times before deciding how to work a batch.

Real-time inquiry does not mean every record is brand new

An inquiry can enter the system in real time and remain in inventory before purchase. Review the actual lead date. A ping alone does not prove that a conversation occurred, and a missed call is not a booked appointment. Ask support about a specific record if its source is unclear.

What a call under 20 seconds means

A brief dropped call may deserve prompt review because the caller did not complete the conversation. Duration alone does not establish intent, qualification or permission for every contact method. Short-call priority requires verified call outcome and duration; missing data must not be interpreted as a zero-second call.

Prepare the first conversation

Review the inquiry context, confirm that you can serve the consumer, and introduce yourself accurately. Do not imply that you already spoke with them or that a policy was approved. Record the result in My Leads so the next action reflects what actually happened.
